• Opened online marketplaces to federal and local law enforcement scrutiny, building a coalition of small resellers and retailers to move Commerce Committee leaders on policy that curbed the sale of counterfeit and stolen goods online.
• Took on big banks and a reluctant regulator to bring payment system reform to the Senate floor, then held the line through conference to move towards leveling the playing field for businesses accepting payments.
• Secured a capital markets waiver for a publicly traded investment firm by working the SEC and Banking Committees, arguing successfully that parent-company investors shouldn't face automatic disqualification for a subsidiary's isolated securities compliance violation.
